Day 3 - Organisation and 0rientation
Starting the morning early Rosie, Jules, Mr lane and Jess set off to find some breakfast for the group. Wondering through the market we purchased some fresh oranges(70% pips 30% orange) the cashier thinking Rosie and Jules were sisters. Some bread with jam and mango squash. then the group split up to concur the tasks for the day. One group set off to book the bus for tomorrows long 7 hour buss journey. the other went to find a sim card and exchange money. After marching round KK in the heat and humidity, they ended up getting the sim from the place they started at. the last group stayed in the nice air conditions hostel looking at hotels to stay at on the couple of days for the expedition. after this taxing work and very hungry we went and enjoyed yet another curry. following this meal we all went out to view the hotels we researched that morning. a few out of budget hotels later we stumbled across the perfect hotel in budget close to the sea. having just before walked into the most fancy hotel in Borneo in our sweaty walking clothes and being eyed up by security, we were thrilled to finally find a decent hotel in our price range. Finally finishing the day with a delicious pizza, after first successful haggling where Vi haggled down the price of all the pizzas. We were all thrilled to finally have something other than a curry. Full and happy, we got ready to sleep before tomorrows long day of travel.

Great updates - thanks everyone. Totally missed the bit where we could comment. Impressive that Oliver was awake before the alarm but not a surprise he had a nap which caused the lack of night time sleep. You’ll soon be used to his sleep techniques and I wish you luck if there’s an alarm clock to be heard!!! Food tasting sounds great and pics too. Enjoy your travels tomorrow.
