Day 4 - Sepilok
The early start ignited low spirits with a 5:30am awakening followed by probably the most artificial croissant ever created (which allegedly caused laxative effects according to the packaging 💩).
Our taxis transported us to the bus station where the fried chicken selection was up to Raffy's standard at a brisk 7:30am (only time will tell for Raffy's toilet). We then read out the wonderful messages and made bets on who's parent had commented and who's mum was fastest (currently 2-0 to Mama Paul) - catch up dads🥴.
Amongst the locals, we boarded the bus which provided significant leg room but less could be said about the toilet... Half way through the trip whilst most were trying to sleep, yet again Raffy causes mayhem by shouting "AHHHHH! ******* ****** MY HAMSTRING ***** " after suffering devastating cramp. He was then caught counting sheep as depicted in the lovely photo upload.
Arriving at Sepilok junction, we were greeted with the hottest temperature thus far but luckily we were picked up and taken to Paganakan Dii where we were welcomed with a fresh cucumber drink and our long house rooms.
Finally, we hit up the on-site restaurant just before the torrential down poor and continuous lightning strikes - many enjoyed chicken fried noodles whereas others settled for burgers.

Immense blogs, Team 1! 💪 Have an amazing time with the Orangutans, can't wait to see the next blog x
Looks like you’re all having a fabulous time! Thanks for the photos - weirdly, we’ve got a photo of Josie in exactly the same cafe by the sea in KK when she was 2! Hope you don’t get chased by orangutans - have a great weekend x
Have finally worked out how to comment, as could not work out how to on my phone -now on the laptop! Lovely pictures and great to hear your funny stories, I feel like we are all there with you. Looking forward to hearing all about the orangutans and sun bears and seeing lots of pictures.
That was very entertaining! And great photos :) I’m really getting a feel for your experiences. Poor Raffy, he inherited cramp from his father, and the great aptitude for falling asleep on journeys. I hope all of this ? nutritious food doesn’t punish you all too much and that a vegetable or two are managing to creep their way in. Or Raffy, we’ll be doubling down on the broccoli when you’re home. The storm looks fantastic - very cosy! I hope you’re all sleeping well. I’m very excited to see some orangutan photos tomorrow hopefully! xxx
Disappointed you haven’t had another curry yet! The thunder and lightning looked very very frightening me… Galileo, Galileo magnifico…. We’re having our first day of our holiday in Crete and having almost as much fun as you all. Looking forwards to pics of the king of the swingers x
Jules, Betty and Vi. We’re so happy Borneo is going well, us on the other hand not so much. We have made great mistakes without you guys here, call yo uber. But really glad you’re having fun xoxo
I love how its all about food for Patrick. Who's going to get Borneo belly upset first? Apparently the 7-eleven lava cake is #litty Safe travels, kittens!
Can’t wait to hear about the Orangutans and sun bears tomorrow! It sounds like you are having an amazing time. X
Glad to see Raffy is sleeping well and recovering from his bout of cramp! Amazing storm, hope that refreshes you all a bit. Who is going to spot the first Orangutan? Tropical temperatures here still in CK and Arthur Fery through to the semi finals in Wimbledon! Love the blog, well done Team 1 xxxxx
Wow! You are really spoiling us with a video, thank you. Looks like you’re having a great time. Glad Raffy got some fried chicken in for breakfast too 😂 xx
